Phil is a performance-minded executive and advisor who combines his experience in digital, analytics, and marketing with a strategy consulting and military leadership foundation to drive company transformations.  He believes that the keys to bold, ambitious, and sustained step-change in performance are equally bold investments in mindsets, capabilities, and culture in addition to classic business levers.

In prior operating roles, he led all marketing and digital functions at Omni Hotels & Resorts during its commercial transformation, served on the turnaround team at JcPenney.com as head of strategy and M&A, and significantly grew the e-commerce business at cult fashion startup Sid and Ann Mashburn as the company’s first Vice President.  Phil also led client engagements as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company for four years and began his career serving as a nuclear submarine officer in the United States Navy for six years.

As a consultant, Phil is engaged by companies across industries and sizes to serve as a transformation guide and coach. His McKinsey training, broad operating experience from Fortune 500 to startup environments, and expertise in digital, analytics, and marketing functions have allowed him to deliver distinctive results to a range of client challenges.

As an advisor, Phil brings this full range of expertise to Chandini & Co, with a keen focus on ways to scale existing engagement strategies.  In his focus to curate and cultivate the Change Councils, Phil blends the  solid core foundational expertise of traditional business models with the team's creative and dynamic vision.  Together, the result is the open opportunity of discovery made possible when we deploy the application of tools for shared measurement.  Focused on social impact, these data drivers of social justice progress and impact will be critical for all industries, given the culture and climate today.
